Aqualant use with Sunscreen

Hi Kevin,

I always use a sunscreen on my face and occasionally on my body. I would like to try the Aqualant and wonder how you would recommend i use it while wearing sunscreen. Would it be okay to put Aqualant on over sunscreen that's been applied? I wear Green cream at night so i assume i shouldn't use the Aqualant over it?

Deborah, to get the full effect of aqualant you must apply it on wet skin. Therefore, applying a sunscreen before Aqualant wouldn't make much sense. However, I am finding out that other products are not applying smoothly if you use Aqualant. Therefore, i would recommend that you only apply Aqualant on parts of your body that you do not apply sunscreen to.

this topic caught my eye because i have been using green cream for almost 6 months now and i love the product. I read some topics about the aqualant and because i have very dry skin i thought it may help me out. My purpose for using gc has never been for the purpose of diminishing wrinkles as i am only 20 years old. however it has helped reduce my acne, create a more even tone in my face, and minimize my pores. I am wondering if aqualant is then just not for me? you are saying i cannot apply a sunscreen which worries me.

I would not use Aqualant on you face, but on the rest of the body.

thanks for the advice. Does this mean that you recommend for people who are using aqualant to stay out of the sun then? Say for example I went for a trip to the beach, without sunscreen how would i protect my skin. Also would it be possible to take a shower and apply aqualant at night and then be able to use sunscreen during the day?

Yes, Aqualant at night would work with using a sunscreen in the morning.
