New to Green Cream!

A friend of mine just raves about GC and insists I try it. I don't really have sensitive skin, so I was thinking of starting with level 6. My skin is pretty blotchy I guess, I'm not sure how to properly describe it. It's not an even tone. Also, I have light acne. It used to be bad, and even cystic on my chin, but now I only get 1 or 2 white heads from time to time. But I have light pink-dark pink marks left over, I'm hoping GC can help with those. They've been lightening with time, maybe this will speed it up. I also have kind of thin skin under my eyes, with darkness as well. And I've noticed very fine lines on my forehead and from my nose to my mouth (smile lines).

I do have a question though, I just bought an oil cleanser after hearing very very good things about it. I've been trying to find a way to be able to only use a cleanser and to not need a moisturizer. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though. Anyway, I bought Shu Uemura High Performance balancing cleansing oil - fresh, which is geared toward acne prone skin. It wasn't cheap at all, so I'm hoping I can use it with GC. I would like to be able to wash with it morning and night, and use GC afterward (20-30 minutes later, right?), and hopefully not need a moisturizer. What are your thoughts?

Oh, I've been using a 10% benzoyl peroxide cream for bumps, but it tends to make me a little flaky.. should I use something else when I start GC?

Thanks!

26 - combination skin - southern california beach weather... though I tend to keep my heater cranked to 80, bad for skin I know.

Vexed,
You have all the right ideas, however, I would caution you from changing alot of products at once. If you have a reaction which one would be the culprit? It also, makes adapting to a retinoid much harder. I would suggest that you give your cleanser some time and then add GC to your routine. Stick with everthing else until you fully adapt to the retinoid and then we can talk about more optimal use products to help you with your skin. Keep us posted on your progress and remember we are here to help when you run into problems. :D
